The family estate started in the hamlet of Quintaine. Here, with outcrops of the subsoil at the very feet of the vineyards, the terroir lends the wine complexity and finesse, with a balance between aromatic strength and minerality. In order to respect the characters specific to the different terroirs, three Domaines have been created: Domaine de la Bongran, Domaine Emilian Gillet, and Domaine de Roally.
The Chardonnay grapes are picked by hand and the wines aged in such a way as to preserve their individual characters. Inspired by wine-growing traditions, the cultivation techniques used place the emphasis on working the soil with total respect for the environment. And though grape quality is paramount, slow, natural vinification is also essential. After extended maturing, the wines are sold fully aged.
